New York has been declared the smartest city in the world for 2018, according to the Barcelona-based IESE Business School‘s Cities in Motion Index report, 2018. The top-ten smartest cities in the world list are completed by London (2nd), Paris (3rd), Tokyo (4th), Reykjavik (5th), Singapore (6th), Seoul (7th), Toronto (8th), Hong Kong (9th) and Amsterdam (10th).

Answer: Smart cities use data and technology to improve the daily routine of metropolitan life.
