Here are the 10 best universities in Canada for 2019

The University of Toronto has been ranked the top university in Canada for 2019 by both Quacquarelli Symonds and the CEOWORLD magazine. According to the 2019 QS rankings, the University of Toronto (U of T) is rated higher than any other institution in Canada and 28th worldwide, followed closely by McGill University, the University of British Columbia (UBC), the University of Alberta, and McMaster University at 33rd, 47th, 109th, and 146th, respectively.

According to the CEOWORLD magazine’s University Rankings for 2018, University of Toronto also ranks first in Canada and 23rd in the world. University of British Columbia comes in at 34th in the world, McGill University at 41st, McMaster University at 91st, and the University of Alberta at 109th.

Overall, the University of Toronto continues to be the highest ranked Canadian university and one of the top-ranked public universities in the 5 principal international rankings: Times Higher Education Rankings 2018 (#22nd), CEOWORLD magazine’s University Rankings for 2018 (#23rd), QS World University Rankings 2019 (#28th), Academic Ranking of World Universities 2017 (#23rd), best universities in the world at US News (#20th).

The QS rankings measure performance on six indicators, with academic reputation counting for 40% of the total score and scholarly citations and reputation with employers worth 20% each. Student-faculty ratios and the percentage of international faculty and students are also considered.
