So, summer vacation. Michigan’s Mackinac Island was named the number one summer travel pick for U.S. travelers by TripAdvisor Vacation Value Report for 2018. Bar Harbor, Maine, came in at No. 2 on the list, followed by Rhode Island’s Block Island – located 12 miles south of the mainland.

The travel planning and booking site ranked the destinations using hotel booking data. The list is based on the greatest increase in seasonal hotel booking interest from spring to summer 2018.
