The 25 Best And Worst Cities In The US For Finding A Job, 2018

As it turns out, San Francisco and Boston are better for job seekers than New York City and Los Angeles right now, according to WalletHub study. In first place is Chandler, Arizona, followed by Scottsdale, Arizona.

In third place is San Francisco, California. Peoria and Gilbert in Arizona, rounds out the top five.

It’s also worth noting that Four Arizona cities made the top 5 in a listing of cities with a promising employment outlook in 2018.

At the other end of the spectrum, Shreveport, Louisiana, ranks as the worst city for jobs this year. Second to last is the motor city Detroit, Michigan. Newark, New Jersey, is third from the bottom.

To narrow down the 25 best cities cities across the U.S. for finding a job in 2018, personal finance site compared the 180 US cities based on 26 key indicators – under the headings “job market” and “socioeconomic environment” for each.
