The 50 Best-Performing Big Cities In Europe, 2017

London – or, more specifically, Inner London-East – took the number one slot on the list of Europe’s 50 best performing cities, according to the Milken Institute ranking of Europe’s best-performing big cities.

Booming economy!

Overall, Fifteen U.K. cities ranked in the top 50, while thirteen were in Germany and six were in Poland.

By contrast Romania, Slovakia, and Sweden has two cities each in the top 50, while Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Netherlands, Switzerland, and Sweden – 1 city each.

This is not a subjective ranking of favourite cities but a detailed study, based on key metrics such as job creation, manufacturing, skilled service industry concentration, and wage gains.
