Yale, Harvard, Princeton, Duke, UPenn Tops College Factual’s Best U.S. Colleges of 2018

Yale remains the top institution in the United States, according to a new report by College Factual, a college choice resource that evaluates more than 1,300 4-year colleges and universities in the U.S., Harvard University placed second on the list, followed by Princeton University at No. 3.

The 2018 rankings placed Duke University in 4th ahead of University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) into 5th; while Cornell University ranked 6th, and Stanford University 7th.

Overall, among the top 10 universities, the 8th, 9th, and 10th positions are held by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dartmouth College, and the University of Notre Dame.

Brown University took the No. 11 spot, followed by California Institute of Technology (No.12) and Amherst College (No.13). Meanwhile, Northwestern University ranked No. 14 in the College Factual’s ranking of the best Colleges in the United States.

Washington University in St Louis came in 15th place, followed by Vassar College (16th), United States Naval Academy(17th), Colgate University (18th), and College of the Holy Cross, ranked 19th. Out of 1,383 best U.S. colleges of 2018, Vanderbilt University ranked No. 20th.
