China’s 25 Most Valuable Brands You Should Know About, 2017

With a brand value of about $106.18 billion, Tencent, the technology giant that owns messaging app WeChat, was the top ranked most valuable brand of China, according to advertising agency WPP’s latest BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Chinese Brands report by Kantar Millward Brown.

Tencent is the first Chinese brand to surpass $100 billion mark.

Alibaba, the e-commerce giant, came in second in terms of brand value ($58 billion), while China Mobile Communications Corporation had the third  highest brand value at $57.9 billion, followed by ICBC ($31.5 billion) and search engine Baidu ($23.89 billion). Rounding out the top 10 were Huawei, China Construction Bank, Insurer Ping An, liquor brand Moutai, and Agricultural Bank of China.

Prof. Dr. Amarendra Bhushan Dhiraj is a publishing executive and economist who is the CEO and editor-in-chief of The CEOWORLD magazine, one of the world’s most influential and recognized global news publications.
