Stanford Tops Wall Street Journal’s US College Rankings, Followed by MIT, Columbia, UPenn, And Yale

Stanford

It’s not surprising that Stanford University took the top spot in the inaugural Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education ranking of U.S. colleges. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Columbia University round out the top three.

The publications say the rankings were determined using 15 different criteria across 4 categories: 40% of the overall score is based on student outcomes, 30% from resources, 20% from engagement with students, and 10% from the learning environment. The rankings include a list of more than 1,000 colleges in the United States.

Stanford University is deemed as the best college in the United States.
