When it comes to adoption-friendly employers in America, The Wendy’s Company ranked as No. 1, followed by Ferring Pharmaceuticals, Citizens Financial Group, and HanesBrands, according to the Dave Thomas Foundation For Adoption.

The Wendy’s Company provides its employees with up to $25,300 per adoption and 6 weeks of paid adoption leave.

The list of 100 best adoption-friendly work places, is compiled from analysis of companies that give the most financial reimbursement and paid leave for employees who adopt children.

The foundation, set up in 1990 by Wendy’s Founder Dave Thomas who was adopted himself, compiles an annual list since 2007 of the top 100 adoption-friendly work places in the country. There are more than 100,000 children in the U.S. foster care system waiting to be adopted.
