Last year saw a big rise of SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) and cloud-based tech companies, and 45 of them went public on Wall Street – including well-known startups like Marketo, RetailMeNot and Zulily – the third highest number of IPOs in one year, since the dot-com era.
Even more surprising is that globally, over $54B was raised in IPOs last year, the most since 2004 or earlier. Inventus Capital Partners, an India-US venture capital firm put together an Infographic highlighting statistics on 2013 SaaS IPOs, also offering projections for 2014 – take a look at it below.
