One of the leading cloud based real-time bidding (RTB) and analytics platform “Turn” opened its first office in Japan and appointed Akito Sato as country manager. The top executives in the company are  Bill Demas – President and CEO,  Joe Nemeth – CFO,  Paul Alfieri – Vice President of Marketing, Chris Lee – Senior Vice President of Human Resources,  Jim Clark – Vice President of Sales and Client Services,  Maureen Little – Senior Vice President of Business Development, and  Joshua Koran – Senior Vice President of Product Management. Newly apointed country manager, Akito Sato has earlier worked as business development manager at Google Japan, where he launched DoubleClick Ad Exchange, DoubleClick Search and DoubleClick Bid Manager.

Turn offers two real-time marketing and advertising tools: Audience Suite, an enterprise data management platform, and Campaign Suite, a digital media buying platform for video, mobile, social, and display advertising.

“Akito is a highly respected digital advertising innovator who has built significant businesses delivering tremendous value for customers,” says Bill Demas, president and CEO, Turn. “Our industry-leading software — now localized in Japanese — combined with his energy and relationships, will instantly vault his team to a leadership position in the rapidly expanding Japan market.”

Despite the lower forecast, IDC expects that real-time bidding (RTB) display ad spending will reach $612 million in Japan in 2014.
