Quality of the female tennis has gone up or the beauty of the players, some of the girls could be easily models instead of tennis players. In the history of Tennis, there has been so many famous female Tennis stars who have left their mark over the years. Whether it’s Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, and Andy Roddick on the men’s side or the Williams sisters and Dinara Safina on the women’s, I watch all of the tournaments I can, especially in the slim-picking summer of sports.
Women are significantly more likely to hit unforced errors at the most crucial stages of the match, while men exhibit no significant variation in performance. Specifically, about 30% of men’s points end in unforced errors, regardless of their placement in the distribution of the importance variable.
Who is the best Female Tennis Player ever?
Here is my list of the best female players to ever swing a racket:
Ana Ivanovic- If Ova is Russian for hot, Ovic is its Serbian equivalent. Born in Belgrade, Serbia, Ivanovic is much like our friend Hantuchová in regard to being quality on and off the court. Another student-athlete, Ivanovic also serves as an ambassador for UNICEF.
Anastasia Myskina- Born in Moscow, Russia, Myskina is like a hacked combination of all the characters from Mario Tennis. She’s noted for being quick on her feet, much like the noble Toad or Baby Mario. She serves out trickier shots than the wily Boo and Ghost, and yet is most well known for having a very powerful serve that’d make Bowser piss his pants.
Anna Kournikova- Anna Kournikova was the first Russian player to strike stardome. She used her SEX APPEAL to be in lime light. Anna Kournikova never won a Grand Slam or anyother SINGLES Championship, though she won few Doubles titles with Martina Hingis.
Ashley Harkleroad- Ashley Harkleroad made a splash at age 16 when she appeared at the 2001 U.S. Open in extra-tight shorts and a midriff-baring top. She lost in the first round, but the outfit and her long blonde ponytail earned her comparisons to another tennis heartthrob, Anna Kournikova.
Caroline Wozniacki- Caroline has always been a sports fan – like the rest of her family. Her parents, Piotr and Anna Wozniacki, have both been professional athletes. Anna played volleyball for Poland, and Piotr can look back on a career as professional soccer player. The Polish couple moved to Denmark in the late 80s when Piotr went to play for the Danish soccer club B1909 in Odense. After a couple of years in Denmark, Caroline was born, on July 11, 1990.
Daniela Hantuchova- Daniela Hantuchová would be a girl you’d definitely want to date and probably be cajoled into settling down with, in pure happiness. In addition to having all the qualities initially mentioned, the girl is brilliant.
Dominika Cibulkova- A Slovak professional tennis player. She is also a former World Junior No. 3, achieving that ranking in May 2005. Her career-high ranking of World No. 12 was achieved on July 6, 2009. As of May 10, 2009, she is ranked World No. 27.
Elena Dementieva- A Russian professional tennis player. She has won two Olympic medals in singles, including the gold medal at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. She has also reached the finals of two Grand Slam events. Her career high ranking was World No. 3 which she achieved on April 6, 2009. As of 3 May 2010, her ranking is World No.6.
Martina Hingis- Martina Hingis – SWISS MISS- has won Grand Slam titles five times in her earlier stint. However, Martina Hingis retired when her career was in peak due to leg injury. But she made efforts to comeback after three years in 2006.
Maria Sharapova- Maria Sharapova is the ‘TEEN TENNIS QUEEN’, also from Russia. Unlike Anna Kournikova, Maria Sharapova has already won Wimbledon Championship and become World Number 1. Maria Sharapova is the most famous and most wanted player in female tennis world.
